Box Score PARIS – Lacey Murray and Kaede Yamaguchi each scored goals and recorded their third assists of the season Wednesday as the 14th-ranked Navarro Bulldogs blanked Paris 4-0 in a Region XIV women's soccer match at Noyes Stadium.
Navarro (3-2) completed a conference sweep of the Dragons (1-6-1), which were coming off a scoreless tie at Brenham against Blinn's Buccaneers.
Murray scored her first goal of the year during the 21st minute off a Jada Brown feed, and the Bulldogs made the goal stand up for a 1-0 halftime lead.
In the 59th minute, Yamaguchi's second goal of the season provided NC insurance with a 2-0 lead.
Twice inside the final four minutes, team-leading scorer Rafiatu Alhassan netted goals to extend the margin. The sophomore's logged five goals this week in wins over Northeast and Paris, and now has seven goals and 17 points for NC.
The Bulldogs travel to Athens for a 3 pm Saturday Region XIV match at Trinity Valley – a match rescheduled from September 1.
