Balanced Navarro got double-figure scoring from five players en-route to an 80-78 Saturday that handed previously unbeaten Bossier Parish its first loss in 10 games.
Sophomore guard Jalen Griffith totaled 13 points and dished out six assists as coach Grant McMillan's Bulldogs (7-3) evened their Region XIV record at 1-1. Brave Rutsindura added 10 points and eight rebounds for NC.
Navarro, which built a 46-36 halftime lead, shot 52.6 percent from the floor (30-of-57) and 54,2 percent from three-point range (13-of-24).
Freshmen Chase Nelson (13), Jayden Pretty and Elijah Mitchell (11 apiece) provided key minutes and big production off the bench.
Navarro hosts Kilgore for a 7 PM Wednesday game on Lewis Orr Court at The Wolens SEC.
