Five Top-25 ranked teams populate an eight-team bracket that will battle for two NJCAA Tournament berths at the Region XIV Softball Championship beginning Saturday at Houston.
The North Zone sends three Top 18 clubs – regular-season champion Trinity Valley (14), runner-up Paris (10) and third-place Bossier Parish (18), the defending champion. Meanwhile, the South counters with regular-season winner Galveston (17) and runner-up San Jacinto-South (RV-22), the tournament host.
Seven clubs enter postseason play with 33 or more wins this season.

Additionally, TSBN will stream the Region V Tournament live from Stuart Field in Weatherford, where four nationally ranked teams compete in an eight-team field in order to punch tickets to the national meet. Region V's cast includes top-ranked McLennan (54-2), fourth-ranked Temple (47-8), No. 12 Grayson (35-15) and Odessa.
