Women's Soccer Paul Davenport

Bulldogs Win Back-to-Back Conference Championships

In his first year at the helm, Head Coach Paul Davenport has led the #5 Navarro Bulldogs to a Region XIV conference championship after their 9-1 win today over Northeast Texas.  The Bulldogs improve to 12-0-3 on the year and 10-0-3 in conference play with one game remaining in the regular season.

The Bulldogs have dominated both ends of the field, racking up 46 goals, while allowing just 6 goals all season—thanks to a rock-solid defense and outstanding goalkeeping.

Leading the offensive charge this season has been Aoi Kawabuchi who has tallied 12 goals, 25 shots on goal, and 29 total points.  Tida Sido has anchored the defensive back line and inspired her teammates with leadership and grit. The defense, featuring Rozlyn Rumsey, Maegan Thrasher, and Charo Rodriguez, recorded 8 shutouts and proved to be one of the toughest units in the league.

But it wasn't just a one-woman show—the talent and depth have been major factors for the team's success. More than ten different Bulldogs found the back of the net, including standouts Desreena Boston, Maria Delgado, Sahara Gipson, Zoe Nelson, and Natalie Garcia. The team has shown great consistency throughout the season with multiple Top 20 results; living up to the team's motto: #WeWillWin.
And they're not done yet.

With the top seed locked in, Navarro has clinched home-field advantage through the Region XIV post-season tournament. There's more history to be made, and they need your support!
