Navarro Volleyball Announces 2026 Schedule

Corsicana, TX - The Navarro College Volleyball team has announced their schedule for the 2026 season.  Under the guidance of first year head coach Phil Nickel, the Bulldogs will look to improve on last year's 16-17 record.  The Bulldogs will prep for the season with scrimmages against McLennan Community College on August 12th, UT Dallas on August 15th and against Weatherford and Ranger College on August 18th.  Navarro will kick off the regular season at the Midland College Kick Off Classic, where they will face Hill College and the host Midland Chaparrals on Friday, August 21st, before taking on Vernon College and New Mexico JC to close out the tournament on Saturday, August 22nd.

Navarro will open their home schedule on Tuesday, August 25th when they host Temple College.  The next day, the team travels to NCTC in Gainseville for a tri-match with Amarillo College and the host Lions.  They will head to Blinn the weekend of August 28th-29th for the Blinn Labor Day Tournament, where they will face two NJCAA Tournament teams from last year in Frank Phillips and Odessa, as well as Daytona State College and Eastern Florida State College.  The Bulldogs will wrap up their busy August schedule with a home match against Collin College on August 31st.

After a home match against Hill College on September 3rd, the ladies will start Region XIV play on September 9th at Wharton County Junior College.  They travel to the panhandle that weekend to participate in the Amarillo College Tournament, where they will face Midland, Western Texas, Trinidad State and the host Badgers.  After that, it will be all Region XIV play for the Bulldogs except for a match at Collin College on September 21st.  In Region XIV, the Bulldogs will face Wharton, Lee, Tyler and Panola, as well as 2025 NJCAA Tournament participants Blinn and Trinity Valley.

The season will conclude with the Region XIV Tournament, hosted by Lee College in Baytown on November 6-8.  The winner of the region tournament earns the automatic bid to the NJCAA Tournament in Hutchinson, KS.  The national tournament consists of 12 automatic qualifiers and 4 at-large teams.
