Corsicana, TX - Head coach Phil Nickel announced the addition of Alyssa Carrillo to the coaching staff for the 2026 season.  Carrillo comes to Navarro after serving as an assistant coach at Birmingham Southern College.  For the past 6 years Carrillo has coached club volleyball at Dallas Premier and NRG Volleyball in the DFW Metroplex and FEVA Volleyball in Frankfort, KY where her teams consistently placed in the Top 5 at Regionals.

Originally from Oceanside, CA, Carrillo was a competitive and dominant front row player during her playing years. She played Middle Blocker and Right Side at Ventura College (Ventura,CA) before transferring to Mount San Jacinto College (San Jacinto, CA). At Mount San Jacinto College, she ranked 48th in the state and 38th in the conference for solo blocks and was an All-Conference Honorable Mention selection in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference.

Carrillo graduated from Midway University in Midway, KY, with her bachelor's in Sports Management. She is the daughter of Juan and Janis. She has two sisters, Adrianna and Alexxis.
