Lorin McNeil

A native of Rockwall, Texas, Lorin McNeil received her undergraduate degree in general studies with an emphasis in child and family services in 2022. When the 2023 season began, McNeil began her first season as a graduate assistant for Tarleton State University Volleyball team.  Before becoming a member of the coaching staff, McNeil played two seasons for the Texans. In 2022, McNeil led the team and the WAC in blocks with 137. Led the team and WAC with 1.27 blocks per set. Finished fifth on the team with a career-high 128 kills. Had a career-high 230.5 points scored, good for third-best on the team. Had 10 blocks in a win over SFA ,16 double-digit block matches. As a junior, McNeil saw time in 20 matches and 75 sets for the Texans in the 2020 season. She compiled 103 kills with a season-high 12 kills against UT Arlington. Accumulated 92 total blocks leading the Texans for the season. Also tallied 170.5 points on the season, third most on the team. Before dressing out for Tarleton State, McNeil played three seasons for Abilene Christian University. She set a single season record with 111 assisted blocks as a true freshman in 2017. Played in 234 sets over three seasons and totaled 432 kills and 259.0 total blocks. Named All-Tournament at the Rice Classic in 2019. Played club volleyball from 5th grade to 12th grade. In addition, McNeil also coaches at Ameri Sports volleyball club for 13 nationals and also 15 nationals, 2 league teams, private lessons, clinics and camps.
