Conor Castro - 2025 Volleyball

Conor Castro

Conor brings a strong background in collegiate club and junior volleyball, with coaching experience at several competitive programs across Texas.

Before joining the Navarro College volleyball staff under Coach Dylan, Conor coached the women’s club volleyball team at Texas A&M University. That season, the team posted a 22-1 regular season record and went on to win the Southern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (SIVA) conference championship. They advanced to the National Collegiate Volleyball Federation’s national tournament, finishing in the top 10 of division 1 with an impressive 27-2 overall match record.

Prior to his time at A&M, Conor spent two years coaching both the men’s and women’s club teams at the University of North Texas. While there, he helped lead the UNT women’s club team to a top-25 national finish at the NCVF National Tournament—their best in recent years— and was also a nominee for division 1 coach of the year.

Beyond the college scene, Conor also coached a regional 15s team at Houston Skyline – The Woodlands, where he built lasting connections and made a strong impact on player development in a high-level junior volleyball environment.

As a player, Conor competed for three years on the University of North Texas men’s club volleyball team before the COVID-19 pandemic brought his senior season to an early close. His experience as a student-athlete fuels his coaching philosophy, which emphasizes development, competitive growth, and a strong team culture. After graduating, he has continued to play volleyball on the grass, in the sand, or back on the hard court as often as he can.

Now at Navarro, Coach Conor is excited to contribute to the continued growth and success of the program while helping athletes reach their full potential on and off the court.
