Anderson Mirambeaux's 26/10 double double and 21 points from DaShawn Davis sparked Trinity Valley to a 91-85 Region XIV conference win over the Navarro Bulldogs Wednesday at The Wolens Center.

Coach Mark Leslie's Cardinals (2-1) won their second straight game, while coach Grant McMillan's Bulldogs dropped their second in a row and first at home this season.
Listed at 6-foot-7, 305 pounds on TVCC's roster, Mirambeaux powered his way inside and scored 16 of his points in the first half.  The Cleveland State signee hit 13-of-16 shots from the floor and dominated play underneath.  He scored 16 points during the first half and accounted for 20 of the Cardinals' first 51 points.  Last year at The SEC, Mirambeaux stole a backcourt inbound pass and hit a buzzer-beating game-winner.

Joining Mirambeaux in TVCC's decided 38-29 rebounding edge was Lathaniel Bastien, who also cleared 10 boards.

Davis came to life during the final half and pumped in 15 of his total to seal the Cardinals' win.  In addition to his 9-for-15 shooting night, Davis dished out seven assists and made three steals.

Jules Moor had team highs in points (23) and rebounds (9) for the Bulldogs.
Drue Drinnon dropped in 21 points from 8-of-12 shooting, grabbed three rebounds and handed out a team-high five assists for NC, which led 41-38 at halftime.
In the first half, there were nine lead changes and one tie.
During its 53-point second half, the Cardinals went on a 20-7 run in the first six minutes and assumed their first 10-point advantage (58-48) by the 14:29 mark.

Akol Mawein's offensive putback at 5:31 pulled Navarro within three (70-67), but Davis countered with five points on consecutive trips -- finally hitting a 24-foot dagger trey at 3:36 that reset the lead to 10 (77-67).
NC hit 46 percent from the floor on the evening with four scoring in double figures. The 'Dogs managed 29 rebounds.
The Bulldogs travel Saturday to Tyler for a 4 pm Region XIV conference game against coach Mike Marquis' Apaches at Floyd Wagstaff Gymnasium.
