Navarro shot 49 percent from the floor (25-of-51) and sank 20-of-26 free throws to secure its second victory in a row. Heading the contingent was Drinnon, whose 28 points equalled or reset the team's individual game-high scoring honors for the fourth time in five weeks.

 

Featured among his 28 points was an 11-of-13 effort from the foul line. While going 3-for-5 beyond the arc and accounting for all but one of Navarro's treys, Drinnon added three rebounds, four assists and two steals in his game Saturday.  Saturday's game marked the third in which Drinnon has scored 20-plus points.

 

Akol Mawein contributed 13 points, five rebounds, 3 steals and a blocked shot for the Bulldogs, which held a 48-23 halftime lead.

Jules Moor added 11 points, five boards, a steal and a blocked shot.

Navarro led from the outset, opening a 12-point lead (25-13) 11 minutes into the game. The gap widened to 20 (41-21) with 3:14 to go in the half. At the second half's outset, NC had a 30-point lead.

Navarro's big triumph marked its first Saturday road win of the season. The Bulldogs return to the Wolens Special Evemts Center for games Wednesday against Bossier Parish and Saturday against Lamar State-Port Arthur.
