Box Score 1 |
Box Score 2 Navarro Softball is scheduled to spring back into Region XIV East Zone competition Wednesday when the Northeast Texas Eagles come to Jesse and Lou Cummings Field for a 1 pm doubleheader.
The phrase "is scheduled' fits, since weather forecasts indicate the 90 percent likelihood Tuesday of overnight showers and thunderstsorms that could alter the Bulldogs' plan.
The Eagles (8-11/0-4), currently have a four-game losing streak as they approach the midpoint of a schedule grind. They've lost league doubleheaders at Paris and against TVCC at Mount Pleasant. Next for NTCC are zone doubleheaders at Corsicana against Navarro, and Saturday, at Bossier, La., against the 18th-ranked Lady Cavaliers.
Navarro ventured into the non-conference realm Monday and gained a split with the Hill Lady Rebels.
