Navarro College Hires Paul Davenport as its new Women's Head Soccer Coach

Davenport, an Irving native, comes to Navarro after compiling a 164-52-18 record in 15 seasons at Hill College, including a 79-7-9 mark that translated into a streak of 11 consecutive Region V Championships (2014-2024). During the first 12 of his 15 seasons, he also served as head coach of the HC men's soccer program.

"We are excited to have Paul join Navarro Athletics.  His experience and track record gives us an opportunity to continue the success of our soccer program and help us take the next step towards a national championship, "Michael Landers, Executive Director for Student Services and Athletics.

Davenport developed Hill's women program into a national power.  The eight-time Region V and four-time Plains District "Coach of the Year" recipient coached 14 NJCAA All-Americas.   

Davenport becomes the third coach in Navarro's 23-year-old soccer program history.  He replaces Alicia Wilson, who became the head women's soccer coach at Alabama State University on March 24.  Wilson compiled a 130-39-14 record in 10 Navarro seasons, leading a perennial Top 10 Bulldog soccer program to nine regional final appearances and at-large qualifications to five national tournaments.
