Navarro Volleyball swept Panola for its 20th win of the season Thursday and will be the No. 2 seed for the Region XIV Tournament next weekend at the Kruse Center in Brenham,
The 13th-ranked Bulldogs, winners of four of their last five matches, avenged a sweep in Carthage with one of their own in a 25-23, 25-20, 25-12 triumph on 'Sophomore Night' in the final regular-season match at the Wolens Special Events Center.
Sophomore Lee Ivakina had a team-high 12 kills with two block-assists and two digs to lead Navarro to its seventh season of 20 or more wins in the last eight years.
Khaya Gordon hit .400 with 11 kills and three block assists with Gabriela Smolenska.
On the strength of a regular-season sweep of Trinity Valley in head-to-head competition, coach Dylan Butler's Bulldogs earn the No. 2 seed at the Region XIV Tournament that begins Friday, Nov. 8. The Bulldogs, however, will receive a walkover to Saturday semifinal play to make their debut.
