Yelizaveta Ivakina committed to the University of Alaska-Anchorage and play NCAA Division II volleyball with coach Stacie Meismer's Seawolves of The Great Northwest Athletic Conference.

Ivakina, a rising junior who led Navarro to a 55-17 record and consecutive NJCAA National Tournament apoearances, is one of the Seawolves' first five commitments for 2025.

Ivakina, a 6-0 pin hitter from Varna, Bulgaria, averaged 3.43 kills and 4.09 points per set as a sophomore. She recorded a career-best 30 kills in a conference match against Blinn. As a freshman, she averaged 1.54 kps on .238 hitting for a Navarro team that won the Region 14 regular-season title and placed third at the national tournament.

"Lee will bring some much-needed experience to our team that is losing so many (five) seniors. As a six-rotation pin," coach Meisner said. "We expect her to make a big contribution in the front and back row with her ability to score. She has been a leader for Navarro, and we are excited to see what she brings to our program."

UA-A finished 16-12 overall and 10-8 in league play during the 2024 season.
