VCU Volleyball Signs Pylinska

Junior outside hitter Kalina Pylinska will play this fall for coach Tim Doyle's Virginia Commonwealth University Rams of The Atlantic 10 Conference.

Pylinska, who led Navarro to a 34-4 record and a third-place finish at the 2023 NJCAA Tournament, was one of eight recruits to sign with VCU for 2024-25 as the Rams attempt to improve upon a 17-13 season that included an A-10 Tournament Semifinals appearance against Lotola Chicago.

"We've watched Kalina play for the past two years here in the U.S. and her growth is evident," Doyle said.  "It's one of the most compelling parts of her game. Her game IQ, passing, and overall consistency will be big for us.

Pylinska blasted 3.43 kills per set, while hitting .263, to lead Navarro to a 34-4 record and a third place finish at the NJCAA Division I National Tournament. As a freshman, Pylinska registered 426 kills, fourth-most in school history.  The two-time all-conference player at Navarro earned all-Region XIV and NJCAA Tournament honors in 2023.

For her two-year Navarro career,  Pylinska's 157 services aces  (85/72) amd her 851 total kills rank second all-time.  Her single-season kills (426/425) land 5-6 in program records.
