DeAndre Brown, an NJCAA First-Team All-American, led Navarro College to a school record 30 wins, the Region XIV Tournament Championship, and
Navarro’s first appearance at the NJCAA Tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas. The first-team All-Region XIV and Tournament MVP averaged 17.5 points and ranks top five in single season and career scoring at Navarro College. The TABC’s Junior College Player of the Year scored a career-high 45 against Temple, but he may be best remembered for his buzzer-beating three-pointer that lifted Navarro over Lon Morris in the Region XIV Tournament Semifinal at The Herrington Patriot Center at UT-Tyler.
Brown earned UIL All-State Tournament team honors each of the four seasons he played for legendary coach, Robert Hughes at Fort Worth Dunbar. After Navarro, he transferred to Louisiana Tech where he was a two year starter averaging double figures both seasons on his way to All-WAC honors.
