Donnie Duncan’s impact on Navarro College and college football spans decades of excellence and leadership. As head football coach of the Bulldogs from 1970 – 1972, he guided Navarro to its first 11-win season and captured a Wool Bowl Championship, setting a new standard for the program’s success.
Duncan’s career reached national prominence at the University of Oklahoma, where he helped secure two NCAA national championships as an assistant coach before serving as the school’s Director of Athletics from 1986 – 1996. He continued to shape the sport as Senior Associate Commissioner and Director of Football Operations for the Big 12 Conference from 1996 – 2010, leaving an enduring
legacy as a visionary leader and ambassador for the game.
Though Donnie is no longer with us, his spirit and influence continue to inspire, and he is cherished in the memories of family, friends, and colleagues alike.
