Drew Montgomery embodied leadership and excellence during his time with Navarro College football. A standout offensive lineman for the Bulldogs from 1976 - 1977, he was instrumental in guiding the team to the 1977 Texas Junior College Football Conference championship and a decisive victory in the Garland Texas JUCO Bowl.
Unanimously named an NJCAA First Team All-American and All-Conference selection in 1977, Montgomery was recognized by his teammates as the heart and soul of the Bulldogs. After his celebrated Navarro career, he continued competing at a high level as an offensive lineman at TCU, further cementing his legacy as one of Navarro's most respected and impactful players. Drew touched the lives of many and is dearly missed. His kindness and guidance made us better, and his memory lives on in the hearts of family, friends, and all who knew him.
